I’m pretty satisfied with the results today. Rancour wins!
I congratulate them for their success, as I can already breathe success in them in the next few years to come.
What I liked about Rancour are:
- they play catchy music, suitable for all generations
- young and energetic
- good song arrangement and compositions. I actually couldn’t believe that, that was their original song!
Though the rest of them didn’t win, they did try their best.
Oh anyway, Keigo Sphinx vocalist was the best man! She just rox! If only I could get her into my band
Anyway, congratulations Rancour on winning the competition. If you ever release a CD, make sure you don’t keep it mellow, or nobody will ever remember your style. Ignore the media, ignore the public, especially the recording studio. You HAVE to keep it to “Rancour-style” or you’ll lose your fanbase.
Think Virus Cinta. I think they have a strong fan base in their underground music. That’s why they have little support.
Think Hellven. I loved Hellven, but too bad, they couldn’t bring the “gothic” image into the general public.
And Fatskunks, I’m sure you’ll be invited in many TV shows in the future because of your friendly music. Keep reggae and ska alive, cause not many Singaporeans dare to be different!
X-Tech, I know your style, I know your game. You did your best. I don’t know if you guys ever saw us in our previous encounter in Yamaha Asian Beat 2005. We didn’t get a chance to meet or interact. However, you’re still my favourite band in all the bands. Keep metal underground man!
Putra, with the $9000+ custom guitar, I’m very sure even if you didn’t win, some recording companies might sign you up. You just lack fan base, that’s all.
Knightwings, your vocalist was the best. With that kind of vocals, any rock/metal genre will definitely suits you guys. You guys can still go far with your music. I liked your style. P.S: Farhan, I don’t know if you know me, but we used to stay on the same block! (Think Jurong East St 32)
Edmushyta, you guys were great. I liked all your Jinbara covers. Your band is tight. Keep it up, I’ll be expecting to see you guys in the near future. P.S: Eddie, remember me from Shuqun? Didn’t realised you were in the competition until you went quite far. Good luck bro!
And for the rest of the bands, you guys don’t strike any significant resemblance, hence easily forgotten.
Another hearty congratulations from me to Rancour for winning the competition!
